How to catch an Elf!
Ready to think ‘outside the box’? Put on your thinking cap and start imaging different ways you can use the things around you to create an Elf trap. Your creation can be big, small, tall or short or anything in between will do!
Step 1: Use your problem solving skills and start planning what your trap will look like.
Step 2: Gather any materials you may need.
Material Ideas to get you thinking: boxes, cardboard, string, candy canes, lego, blocks, pullies, candy ‘bait’, tape, paper ….
Step 3: Start experimenting and creating. It will take trial and error for your idea to work.
Remember the words of Walt Disney
“‘We Keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.’”
So don’t give up if your plan isn’t working, start again, change directions, be curious.
Step 4: Reflect on and share your creating with your family and us at the DLC!
